  • Nevada - The Virginia & Truckee Railroad

  • Texas - Austin & Texas Central Railroad
    The Hill Country Flyer is one of several steam powered excursion trains based in the city of Cedar Park, just north of Austin, Texas on US Hwy 183. n addition to the Hill Country Flyer on Saturday there is an occasional Saturday evening train called the Twilight Flyer and a downtown Austin train on Sunday called the River City Flyer (family railroad).

    While visitors take in the sights, sounds, and tastes of "Cowtown, U.S.A.", Tarantula's locomotive pulls onto the 1925 turntable to head south for a 10-mile trek alongside the famous Chisholm Trail. Tarantula travels across the western edge of downtown Fort Worth to the southwestern area of the city, crossing both the West and Clear Forks of the Trinity River on large trestles that offer spectacular views of the Fort Worth skyline not seen from city streets.

  • Texas - Texas State Railroad
    Since 1896, trains have rolled along the Texas State Railroad (TSRR), passing through the beautiful pineywoods and rolling hardwood creek bottoms of East Texas. Today, the historic state railroad is still maintained as a fully self-contained railroad system. Its train crews maintain and operate 4 steam engines, 4 antique diesel locomotives, and a complete steam engine restoration shop; while its track crew maintains over 25 miles of track and 24 bridges.

  • The Batten Kill Rambler - New York
    Take this spectacular "linear museum" trip along New York's most famous trout stream. Riding between Cambridge and Salem, you'll see views of the Batten Kill that cannot be seen from the road!
