Jo Edkins' Maze Page This page is going to discuss only unicursal mazes or labyrinths, that is, mazes with a single path to the centre, and no branches. This is the oldest form of maze, with examples all round the world.
Making Sever's Corn Maze Each year Sever and family members design the new maze. First we decide on a theme. Then, a large sheet of graph paper is used to map out the maze and all of its paths. When it comes time to plant, the field is planted in a huge grid, with corn rows planted in two directions. The grid corresponds with the graphed design.
