Utah-Belknap Elementary Belknap Elementary, a red-brick, two story building, containing nine classrooms, was first built in 1909. A two-story addition was added to the south of it in 1938, and later the first building was torn down. In about 1964, a single floor building, running east and west, was built on the south side of the first addition. For the 1996/97 school year Belknap had an average of 419 students in attendance. There were three sections of kindergarten, first grade, second grade, fourth grade, and sixth grade; and two each of third, and fifth.
